I decided to make one for my sister-in-law, Miranda, as a first anniversary gift. Since I wanted it to be a surprise yet colors she would like, I used leftover fabrics from the king-sized quilt my mother had made for their wedding present. That certainly made fabric selection easy -- Mom had already done it for me! I was even able to quilt with the same variegated thread she had used.
