| This quilt was made for Abigail Grace, the first born of one of my best friends, Jenny. Abby had been going through a stage where she loved princesses, especially Cinderella. When I saw fabric with the Disney Princesses, I knew I had to use in in a quilt for her. | |

Once I had purchased the princess fabric I found fabrics in bright pink, blue and purple. I also was thrilled to find an off-white fabric that had flowers and little white high-heeled shoes printed on it -- they looked like glass slippers! |

| I was ready to begin sewing using foundation piecing. I place the princesses in the center of "Diamond in the Square" blocks and alternated them with "Starry Path" blocks. I decided to use the purple for the largest border because that is Abby's favorite color. |
