Flannel Rag Quilts For Sale
These flannel rag quilts are inspired by "Chill Chasers" in Quiltmaker's March/April '06 issue. I modified the pattern slightly. I cut 8" squares instead of 8.5" squares. I also chose not to use batting or an extra layer of flannel in the middle -- I find that two layers of flannel is warm enough! These quilts all were machine quilted (using a swirl motif), pieced using a 3/4" seam allowance (such that the front and back have a similar or identical look), snipped by hand (every 1/4 inch around each block), and washed/dried once to start the fraying process. These quilts are available for purchase. I also accept custom orders, so if you have a particular print theme, color scheme or size request, please let me know! These two quilts were designed to show how a focus fabric can look different depending on the solids it is combined with. I imagine these being
perfect for boy/girl twins. The quilting on the Celestial Quilts were done with matching threads on all blocks.
